No Man's Land

Dear all,

Here is an update to the end of season procedure.

Because at end of season we will be promoted, there is a chance that we get hit by bigger players and lose lands.

Hence, once you collect your rewards, LEAVE the alliance you are in. Do not join or create a new alliance. You will end up in "non man's land". You will be safe there. No one can find you or attack you. If you choose to stay put, you may have lands capped. Be forewarned.

Then check LINE for the new season set up announcement. Thereafter, you may join the assigned alliances.

Thanks,

Smorg.

Global Event Report - Hunter's Moon

Dear Dson Family,

Again, we have exceeded expectations! Our alliance continues to grow and make a name for itself.

The global event Hunter's Moon has just ended and out of tens of thousands of alliances, Dson SinEspa finished in 7th position. Very very proud of everyone!

A big shout out to the following players who led the charge for iron souls and also managed to get the Sulzar titan!

Your proud Patriarch,

Smorgasbord.

Post Season 95 Strategy and Rules of Engagement

Dear Dson Family,

As usual the developers have changed things up and we have to adapt.

A few days ago, they changed the rewards vs losses ratio. In the past, we could raid each other and gain resources (gold and grain) without the defender losing anything.

Now, the defender will lose a significant amount of resources each time they are raided. We estimate that if a raider gets 90k gold, the defender will lose about 30k gold. So the ratio is 3:1 or higher.

We need to change our Ping Pong strategy.

Next season (Season 96) we will follow the strategy below:

1. We will set up 3 sub alliances in Bronze/Silver - Ignis, Glacis and Minis. Any DS player may freely raid the players in the Dson Mini alliance for resources. (These are actually the second/third accounts of the senior players)

When minis are shielded, players can ask the seniors over LINE to unbubble.

2. We can also raid other alliances for resources. Raid only lands. No garrison raids. No capping. (If you want lands, seniors can help you get good lands) Be aware that if you raid others, they may raid you in return. To reduce the chance of them raiding you back, we will follow point 3.

3. All Dson players will change their mine/farm islands for VP lands (forests, lakes, mountains). If you want to keep RSS lands, TD up.

We recommend going with all VP to discourage loss of RSS. Collect RSS from raiding of the Minis and from internal mines/farms. If you choose to keep mine or farm islands, be prepared to have them raided by others.

4. No Dson player should raid another Dson player without permission.

If you need RSS urgently, ask LINE chat if anyone can help. Maybe someone decided to keep a mine or farm you want to raid. Ask that player if you can raid it. Then maybe he can TD down so you can grab some gold/food.

5. We will not be sending invites next season. We will announce the name of the alliance you should join and you will search for it and join it. Too many new players have added #DS to their names hoping to be part of us. Only those on LINE group will be told of the new alliance name.

Any questions? Message me on LINE.

For New Members or Players looking in

Dear new members or DoT players who are looking in,

I'll keep this post short since the best way to get to know us is by simply playing with us in-game.

I will just highlight a few key things:

1. Read this blog. Especially the latest announcements here. Info about Rules of Engagement here, and Leadership Structure here.

2. We have an alliance culture which you can read about here. But the main things to note are:

- We are a highly organised and disciplined alliance. To fit in, you have to listen to the Cardinals as they lead and work together with the rest like a team. We do not want players who only care for their own interests and do whatever they like. If you cannot follow orders, you should move on somewhere else.

- At the end of every season, the Cardinals will create a new Dson Ignis alliance and a new Dson Glacis alliance. The Cardinals at the Academy will also create a new Dson Academy alliance. This is done so that we can control what league level we want to be in. If we want to be promoted then we will not make new alliances. If we want to stay down, then we will.

They will reinvite the alliance members to the newly formed alliances. Please stay till the end of the season to collect your rewards before accepting the invite to your new alliance.

- Because we have grown and there are now many Dson players, we want to maintain our sense of identity even though we are split into Ignis and Glacis branches. Therefore, it will be a condition for REINVITE at the end of a season to have a  #DS added in front of your names.

NEW: It will be a condition for reinvite to be on our LINE chat group.

- If you are a newcomer, you will have one whole season to decide if they want to be part of us. If you do, add a #DS tag and we will reinvite you in subsequent seasons.

If you do not have a #DS tag, we will assume that you do not want to be part of us the following season and we will not send you an invite.

3. We want to build an alliance reputation as one that treasures "Courage, Loyalty, Integrity and Fairness".

We do not accept hackers in this alliance. If you are discovered to be hacker, we will kick you and report you.

Do not cap and jump, that is not Dson culture. Do not raid garrisons or capture lands without prior permission from the player you are attacking. Before doing revenge attacks, check with a Cardinal.

Please do not trash talk in League Chat - don't insult others, don't belittle others, don't behave like an a55hole.

We will warn you if you step out of line, and if you repeatedly show that you do not belong in our alliance, we will excommunicate (kick) you.

4. Please join our LINE chat group for updates when not in-game. Add the following LINE ID: dssmorgasbord.

For Dson Newbies

Dear newbies, I'll do a bit of FAQ for you here. Message me on LINE if you want another FAQ added.

1. What is Ping Pong (PP)?
2. How does Dson do PP?
3. Can I Ping Pong garrisons?
4. Can I PP with other alliances?
5. What do I need to do for PP?
6. What is TD?
7. How do I TD up or down?
8. What does neutral lands / free lands / unoccupied lands?
9. Which unowned land should I capture?
10. What is VP?

1. What is Ping Pong (PP)?
Changes to PP have been made. See here.
- PP is when a player raids another player's lands for resources (gold, food, vp). Raiding lands does not cost the defender anything. The attacker gains resources (rss) but the defender doesn't lose anything. It is called ping pong because both parties have an agreement to cooperate (not get upset about being raided).

2. How does Dson do PP?
Changes to PP have been made. See here.
- Dson splits into 2 or more sub alliances every season for ping pong. The understanding is that any Dson (#DS) player may raid any other Dson player. The PP agreement is always in effect among #DS players.

3. Can I Ping Pong garrisons?
Changes to PP have been made. See here.
- No. When you raid a garrison, the defender loses resources. The defender may be saving gold for upgrades or food to train troops. Taking his resources is no good. Do not raid Dson garrisons.

4. Can I PP with other alliances?
Changes to PP have been made. See here.
- Sometimes the cardinals will make an agreement with another alliance. These alliances will be announced on the Latest Updates section of this infoblog. You may PP with players from cooperating alliances.

- Alternatively, you may make your own agreement with individual players.

5. What do I need to do for PP?
Changes to PP have been made. See here.
- First TD down on your lands (especially gold mines and farms). You may keep TD up on your Garrison and on VP lands (lakes, mountains and forests).

6. What is TD?
- TD is Titan Defence. It is the action of placing a titan and its assigned troops onto a land to defend it. TD down means remove your titan defences and TD up means to place your titans defence onto your lands.

7. How do I TD up or down?
- To TD up, go to your land overview (bottom left button with 3 castles). Select the land you wish to TD up on. Click Defend. Choose your titan. Press the Troops tab to assign troops to your titan. Then click Defend.

- To TD down, go to your Titan Hall, scroll all the way to the right and select the titan on defence. There will be a little circle arrow button in the centre of the screen. Press it then click OK. Your titan is back!

8. What does neutral lands / free lands / unoccupied lands?
- There is a cluster of islands directly to the North of your alliance in Land Overview mode. These lands belong to no one and you may capture them to add to your Kingdom. You should capture lands from here instead of from other players.

9. Which unowned land should I capture?
- When you are just starting out (level 15 and below), don't bother about VP lands (lakes, forests, moutains). The senior players will provide VP for the alliance. You should concentrate on growing and upgrading by only holding gold mine and farm islands.

10. What is VP?
- VP stands for Victory Points. You can get VP from raiding/capturing lands and garrisons. You also get VP by collecting VP from VP lands (lakes, forests, mountains).

- VP is used to determine an alliances ranking at the end of each season. The amount of VP from each player is added up to form the alliance's VP. The higher your alliance's VP, the higher the rank at season end and the better the rewards each player gets.

Minimum Battle Wins Condition For Reinvite

Dear all,

The Cardinals are going to experiment with a minimum number of battle wins requirement for reinvite to new season.

The fun in this game comes from battling and growing. To encourage everyone to keep doing this, we want everyone to hit a minimum of 25 battle wins every season to qualify for a reinvite. This is ONLY 5 battles a day (excluding weekends).

If you have trouble meeting this target, for example you are going on holiday or are facing a tough period at work, drop a LINE message to me.

This experiment will start running in Season 87.

Any questions, do ask in LINE Group.

Smorg.

Fancy 1000 gems and a Rarity 4 (Gold) relic?

Dear Family,

With the successful completion of our special mission in Seasons 84 and 85, the Cardinals are ready to roll out a proposal to the whole alliance.

The plan:

The special mission team which has been renamed to Special Ops Team will consist of 20 people.

The rest will continue to PP in Mortals and have a chance to jump up near season end.

Over time some of these special ops guys can drop back down to build and rest and be replaced by new volunteers who want to VP hunt.

The 20 will do their best in terms of VP hunting and use diplomacy if required to get us top 1, 2 or 3.

But if they cannot get it, then they try again another season. We will not send up reinforcements unless there is a really good reason.

The 20 special ops guys must understand their role:

- They must help with Overflow (our minis can help too)
- They should be available at agreed timings to help with invite and kick
- They should be VP heavy (Only 2 non VP lands)

This number of 20 can increase over time as our alliance grows in number. But for now, we have about 50 actives and we cannot afford too many to go up and still maintain PP in Mortals Realm (MR).

Players in MR will be rotated for invite to T Realm. Rotation queue will be determined by number of battle wins.

Starting this season 86, the top players by Battle Win count will be invited up to get TR rewards. How many we can invite to go up depends on how far ahead we are in MR. We will invite as many as we can without affecting Ignis and Glacis' league ranking.

So battle hard everyone. A glorious chance to get lots of gems and a gold titan awaits you!

Smorg.

Report on Special Mission (Season 85)

Some of our Cardinals and volunteers did a special mission over seasons 84 and 85.

What we did was to set up an alliance in Titan Realm (TR) to chase for top level rewards. When we found that Titan Realm League 7 (T7) had some pretty nasty players, we called for an Overflow strategy (credit to Paul for the idea).

That was when we asked for volunteers for the special mission. We filled up T7 with new alliances by inviting then kicking them. Eventually we had one of these "kickees" land up in T8.

T8 was competitive but fair. The race for Rank 1 was between us and an alliance called 369 Fighter.

Have a look at the final standings below:

It was super close! Between them and us we racked up over 17 MILLION VP and the difference between Rank 1 and 2 was only about 40K VP! We were all spamming raids like crazy at the end. We are also proud to say that we ended up top 15 alliances worldwide in season 85.

As Patriarch I want to say how proud I am of our alliance and also a big thank you to our beloved affiliates, Anubis, Perfect Dark and Mortal. You guys are INCREDIBLE!

Season 83 instructions - for action

Dear Family,

There are some pretty significant changes for Season 83 and onwards. Please read and follow instructions (in red).

1. Firstly, every season we reinvite players with a [DS] tag. Over the past year or so, we amassed nearly 150 players with this [DS] tag. We have estimated that only 80 are currently active. This poses a major headache to the reinvite process as we either invite all 150 players or go through names one by one and check against our active / inactive list.

So we have decided on a refresh of our alliance tag to weed out all the inactives.

Our new Dson tag will be #DS. Please change your tag by the end of season 83. This will be a condition for reinvite for season 84.

LINE me if you have any difficulties.

2. We have nearly 70 players who have left the game or become inactive. They still have the [DS] tag. In order to reduce that happening to the new #DS tag, we want to be able to communicate with everyone out-of-game.

With out-of-game communication, if you want to leave the game, you could drop us a message and we could remind you to change your game name before leaving.

So we have decided to make our LINE group compulsory.

Join the Dson SinEspa LINE group if you have not. (Install LINE app and add the following ID: dssmorgasbord. I will add you to our group.) This will be a condition for reinvite for season 84.

Message me in game if you have any difficulties.

We hope that you have found being in Dson SinEspa a great experience and you would be willing to make a couple of changes to make it better for everyone!

Thanks in advance, see you with your new tags in-game and chat with you soon on LINE.

Paladins of the Inferno event

The Paladins of the Inferno event just ended after 10 days of brutal combat!

I'm very proud that our alliances have done well again. Both Dson Ignis and Dson Glacis made it into the Top 1% and walked away with the top prize, the titan Ignacia.

Ignis finished 40th world-wide

Glacis finished 55th world-wide

I would like to thank all the players and alliances who helped us achieve this by ping pong-ing with us. We really appreciate working together!

Enjoy your rewards especially Kukur and Ignacia everyone. You've earned them!

Well done,
Smorg.

Rules of Engagement (Post Season 80)

We have adapted our game play to the new 1.9 update so there are changes to the ROE. Please Read.

Start of Season:

1) Remember that we are using a "ping pong" strategy with our other Dson SinEspa sub-alliances.

No capturing Dson lands, No raiding Dson garrisons. Unless permission is given by the player you are targetting.

UPDATE: The new 1.9 update gives VP+Gold+Food for raids on Mountains, Forests and Lakes. There is no need to raid any garrison.

1.1) No capturing of ANY lands, No raiding of ANY garrison. Unless permission is given by the player you are targetting.

Raiding lands (Gold Mines, Farms, Shard Lands, Mountains, Forests and Lakes) is okay.

We ask at the start of each season that other players do not cap us or raid our garrisons, so the right thing to do is not cap them or raid their garrisons either.

If you need any lands, our senior Dson members can help you get some. Just ask them in LC, PM or LINE.

2) We will warn alliances that capture of lands or attack our garrisons. If they continue, we will retaliate according to our plan here. Therefore, if our member does the same thing, we will warn our member to stop and kick him if he continues. ("3 strikes and you're out" principle)

Fighting in the Season:

1) If some player "throws the first punch" and attacks you first, let the alliance know on Alliance Chat or LINE.

2) Tell us the name of the player, his alliance and whether he raided you or captured your islands.

3) Our alliance will help you to retaliate if you need help.

4) Keep the retaliation commensurate with the attack. If they raid us, we raid them in return. If they capture our lands, we capture their lands in return.

5) Avoid capturing their lands if they only raided you.

6) Avoid starting fights with alliances with higher level players than ours.

End of Season:

1) When the season ends, the Cardinal leading the alliance will create a new alliance in Bronze league (or Silver) and invite you again.

This is done so both Ignis, Glacis and Academy sub-alliances will remain in the same league.

2) Collect your end of season reward then accept invite to the new alliance.

Strategy for 1.9.3 Update

Dearest Dson Family Members,

(Long post warning)
(Scroll to bottom for tldr)

By now, you would have noticed a huge change to the Dawn of Titans game play with the pushed 1.9.3 update.

I'm sure that there are tweaks to come but one thing is for certain, the days of easy gold are over.

If we are fair about this, we have to admit that we have been exploiting the easy gold loophole for quite a while.

In a realistic game, a level 4 army should not be able to crush a level 23 gold mine. (Paul even demonstrated how a level 1 titan with level 1 archers could take down a level 23 Ragnar mine)

The 1.9.3 update actually brings some benefits. (The Cardinals are not saying it's a better update but we ARE saying that it ain't that bad and we can still very much enjoy the game with the plan that will be detailed below).

Firstly, the game is actually more realistic now. I firmly believe that if we keep the faith, we'll enjoy the increased realism more. After all,  we are wargamers and after a while, too easy becomes too boring.

Secondly, I feel the alliance aspect of the game has become more relevant.

In the last update, smaller players did not need an alliance.

They could raid or capture high level player lands. If high level players capped their lands, they could just shrug their shoulders and cap&discard the high level player's lands too.

Now players without alliances can only cap lands that are within their ability. This means that if any low level player messes with our family, our cap&discard punishment will hurt them much more.

The idea of having an alliance as protection is far more obvious now.

So what is our plan? The Cardinals have discussed this and feel the best way forward is this:

Every player will change to a mix of land levels. Some level 20+, some level 17 to 19, some level 14 to 16, etc..

E.g. I can hold 16 lands.

I will carry 4 x level 20+
4 x level 17 to 19
4 x level 14 to 16
4 x level 10 to 13.

This means any Dson player can hit us. High level players hit our high level lands, mid level players hit our mid level lands, lower level players hit our lower level mines.

In this way, we can still do Ping Pong although a bit slower.

If we do this, no matter which Dson player you click on will have something that you can raid.  You just raid what fits your level . So instead of hitting the same guy over and over, you actually hit a Dson player once or twice then go on to next Dson player. If everyone does this, there will be plenty of targets to hit for Ping Pong.

Almost all Dson players (even low level ones) already have level 23 gold mines. This is good. They just need to get lands of other levels.

I know it will hurt to dump level 23 mines but you will get more gold through PP than just farming level 23s. E.g. 40000+k from a level 15 mine compared to farming 2600+ from a level 23 mine. We're wargamers right?

Yes, you will get less gold per raid. But there is no avoiding the fact that easy gold is now in the past. What I CAN say is because we are organised in the described way, you will still get more than other players of your level who are in other alliances or are working alone.

Consider also that low level upgrades also need less gold to achieve.

For us level 20+ guys, our upgrades cost millions of gold so naturally  we have to hit higher lands.. but for the teenagers their upgrades should cost less than a million. . So everyone's growth rate would be the same.

So, let's do this shit! The high level player's will need to cap low level lands from low level players and the low level guys will need to cap mid level lands from higher level players. Use league chat or LINE chat to coordinate until everyone has a good mix.

Happy gaming!

Smorgasbord
Patriarch of Dson Family of Alliances

---------------------------------------------

Extra reading:

In the Cardinals' discussion, we also spoke of just mixing up the players so that each alliance will have a mix of players from all levels.

The proposal was to do banded Ping Pong. That is, level 10-12 players Ping Pong each other. Level 11-13 players Ping Pong each other and so on.

However, we felt that as cardinals we should help the juniors.. it felt a bit weird to have ping pong only among our own levels.. it made us feel like we were looking out for ourselves only.

Also if we only Ping Pong among our own "band" we may end up running out of targets. . Maybe a level 10 in our alliance finds that his band is all bubbled up.

But if everyone has a (more or less) equal mix then almost any Dson player that level 10 looks at should have something he can raid..

We also predicted that if we chose banded Ping Pong, our lower levels will want to keep as many level 23 GMs as possible (for farming gold). This would also lower the number of mines available for that band to PP with.

We also fear with the banded PP, lower level players will give up playing. We'll essentially be asking them to ditch their level 23s and get a bunch of mid/low level lands and play among themselves.

What then would our alliance be for?

The lower level guys are the ones who need the most support in this crisis n they would need to hold at least some level 23 lands. The big guys would need to hold some lower level lands for them to raid to help them grow..

We acknowledged that it would be more painful to convert so many of our lands but it would be better for our alliance overall.

------------ Too Long, Didn't Read Section -----------

Tldr: Don't give up! Change mindset about easy gold! Alliance play will be improved! Change your mines to a mix of levels. Hit lands +2/-2 of your castle level and continue to grow.

On Season 80's Theme

I'd like to take season 80 as a time of consolidation.

Let me share with you my thoughts ahead of the new season.

Firstly, our structure.

We have a very unique leadership structure.
Now, I'm not Catholic, but there is one organisation of close to 1 billion members that has stood the test of time and that must be something worth learning from.

The catholic church has a structure that has shown it can handle such large numbers in such a consistent way theologically and organisationally speaking over so many centuries.

They also have clear rules for appointing a new supreme leader (pope) that prevents fragmentation of the organisation.

Consider the mess at Øutlaws and Z Empire. This season has taught us that they have numbers but no coherence.

Cardinals will have the job of not just leading battles, enforcing rules and providing lands but also to actively guide our players to have our culture.

They will help to set up our sub alliances (Ignis, Glacis, Militem, Academy and maybe more to come) and they will be known as the Bishops (crown) of these sub alliances.

Cardinals must also agree to follow a set of guiding principles which I will share on later.

Cardinals must also pledge to be 100% loyal to whoever replaces me as Patriarch one day.
Even if you don't like the new Patriarch or have a different view, this guy whom we elect from among ourselves to replace me (one day) is our majority agreed choice and *must* command our absolute loyalty.

Cardinals this season (season 80) will not spend time recruiting (unless people want to join) but rather build on what we have already achieved. Build on our culture.

I will organise a list of [DS]  tagged players who have not joined us this season and track them till season 82 (3 seasons). If they are still 'dead', we won't invite them subsequently.

We need to consolidate every 10 seasons or so, and season 80, 90, 100, etc.. will be good milestones to do a stocktake on our progress, culture, numbers and overall direction.

So the theme of season 80 is "Consolidation - of culture and numbers".

The history of Dson Sinespa.

The alliance was first started by a dude called Sintholas and Esplanade (Smorg's first acct).

He suggested Dson SinEspla but that had too many characters. So it became Dson SinEspa.

Smorg asked him what Dson meant. He said "The Great". So Dson SinEspa meant "The Great Sintholas and Esplanade".

Now we have "The Great Fire Alliance", "The Great Ice Alliance", "The Great Knighthood" and "The Great Academy".

Exploring Closer Collaboration

Okay guys and gals. Here the season 79 briefing.

Apologies for taking so long to set up. This season we trying something new.

We have two families of alliances we are exploring a closer collaboration with. Z Empire (ZE) and the Outlaws (Ø).

The way I put it is: Work together.. get to know each other.. and maybe one day merge if we all fall in love with each other.

So, you may freely raid the LANDS of the ZE alliances and the Ø alliances. No capping and no raiding of their garrisons.

Any raiding of friendly garrisons MUST have prior permission.

Also, be active on League Chat.. let's impress these fellas with our Dson culture.

Relic Repair explained. (credit: Yuki)

The point of relic repair is to renew the durability of a relic - not to enhance/level up the relic. So don't expect it to level up when you repair a relic. Think of it like a bonus that may happen during repair.

So how does this work? Depending on the relic rarity and the rarity of the materials(the relics sacrificed) there is a certain chance that the repair will succeed and if it succeeds there is a certain chance that the relic levels up.

Each additional relic adds a certain % to the success rate of the repair. However the additional relics do NOT add additional % to level up the relics - meaning no matter how many relics you sacrifice you can only influence the success rate of the relic repair and not of the relic enhancement.

Below is a list of which rarity adds how much % to the repair success rate.

Probability of successful relic repair:
Relic to be repaired - Rarity of relic used to repair - %

Rarity 1 - Rarity 1 - 50% per relic
Rarity 1 - Rarity 2 - 100% per relic
Rarity 1 - Rarity 3 - 100% per relic
Rarity 1 - Rarity 4 - 100% per relic

Rarity 2 - Rarity 1 - 20% per relic
Rarity 2 - Rarity 2 - 40% per relic
Rarity 2 - Rarity 3 - 80% per relic
Rarity 2 - Rarity 4 - 100% per relic

Rarity 3 - Rarity 1 - 10% per relic
Rarity 3 - Rarity 2 - 20% per relic
Rarity 3 - Rarity 3 - 40% per relic
Rarity 3 - Rarity 4 - 80% per relic

Rarity 4 - Rarity 1 - 5% per relic
Rarity 4 - Rarity 2 - 10% per relic
Rarity 4 - Rarity 3 - 20% per relic
Rarity 4 - Rarity 4 - 40% per relic

Announcing Dson Militem

Okay dudes. Announcing Dson Militem, our battle group.

Many of us have been faithful in the game and building up our strength. We have ping ponged in Bronze for many seasons.

Some of us have grown strong and desire to test our strength against other alliances.

We have decided to set up a battle group for level 17 and above players (volunteer basis). These will be our Knights. The Order of Dson Militem.

Their mission: To climb as high as they can up the Leagues and bring glory to our Alliance.

Ignis, Glacis and Academy will remain in Bronze as a base and to build and train. The Knights can come back any time to the base for a rest and rebuild.

Those interested in being part of the Order of Dson Militem, please message me (Smorg) or Sheena, the Cardinal IC of Militem.

End of Season Move to New Alliance

Dear members,

There is still some confusion over what to do at the end of a season. Let me make it clear once and for all.

1. Wait till season ends to collect your gem + portal stone + relic prize.
2. Look under your right panel > middle tab > join tab, then expand the "Alliance Invitations" drop down.
3. Accept the invite to either Dson Ignis, Dson Glacis or Dson Academy.
     - Look at the logos below so you don't get confused.

P.S. The fourth logo is the logo of our alliances when grouped as one big bunch

4. When you get to the new alliance, check that the alliance has the following member:
     - Ignis must have [DS] Smorg
     - Glacis must have [DS] Espla
     - Academy must have [DS] Noel or [DS] Semadi

If it doesn't, you are in the wrong place.

5. Go back to the "Alliance Invitations" section and delete any irrelevant invitations so you won't end up in the wrong place.

Also join the Alliance Whatsapp or LINE in case of problems.. see this post.

Hope this helps,

Smorg

Alliance Communications - STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

Dear alliance members,

Because of life's demands, it is often difficult to communicate in game (League Chat (LC), Alliance Chat (AC) or Player Message (PM)).

Most of us use Whatsapp or LINE to communicate outside the game. We coordinate game activity as well as share knowledge.

I would like everyone to get onboard our chat groups. This comes STRONGLY RECOMMENDED, just short of compulsory.

For Whatsapp, add me @ +6591828357

For LINE, please add me @ dssmorgasbord

Please choose at least one..

For Cardinals, Whatsapp is compulsory.

Smorg.

On the new graphics

A big shout out to Dustcow who has come up with outstanding new graphics for our blog and whatsapp group!

If you look at the image, you will see that the design has Ignis on the left and Glacis on the right. Fire merging with Ice to create one world..  very excellent concept!

👍👍👍 for Dustcow!

Rules of Engagement (Post Season 62)

Start of Season:

1) Remember that we are using a "ping pong" strategy with our other Dson SinEspa branch.

No capturing Dson lands, No raiding Dson garrisons. Unless permission is given by the player you are targetting.

2) On occasion, there will be other alliances who will join in our strategy. I will update their alliance names in "Latest Updates" post. Don't raid their garrisons or capturing their lands either.

All other alliances are free to be attacked in any way you want. (Please have common sense and don't pick fights with players bigger than our Cardinals.)

Fighting in the Season:

1) If some player "throws the first punch" and attacks you first, let the alliance know on Alliance Chat or WhatsApp.

This is done so both Ignis and Glacis branches will remain in the same league.

2) Collect your end of season reward then accept invite to the new alliance.

Tactics for 125 and 233 lands

I've been asked to do a little video tutorial for our lower level members to help them with attacking 125 & 233 lands.

Note:
125 - 1 archer, 2 spear + 5 militia on defence
233 - 2 archers, 3 spear + 3 militia on defence

For the videos, I chose to use a level 4 Titan to simulate a lower level player. (My level 14 Youlgreave uses a different tactic. He just destroys the enemy on his own while the troops eat popcorn. LOL. )

Disclaimer: these are just the tactics I use. You may have something that works even better! Do share if you do. :)
